1. Introduction
Phren Inc. (“Phren,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how Recall-AI (“the App”) handles information when you access or use our services. This Policy applies solely to Recall-AI on iOS (iPhone, iOS 18.5+). We do not operate a web app or Android version at this time.
2. Information We Collect
We limit collection of personal information to the minimum necessary to provide our services.
- Purchase Information: When you purchase Recall-AI through the App Store, Apple may provide us with limited purchase details. We do not receive or store your payment information.
 - Device & Diagnostic Information: Our development tools may temporarily collect device information, crash logs, and performance metadata to ensure the app functions properly.
 - User Inputs & AI Responses: Inputs you provide to Recall-AI are transmitted securely to processors to generate responses. We do not personally retain or link these inputs to your identity.
 
3. How Information Is Used
We use the limited data described above solely to:
- Provide the Recall-AI service you purchased.
 - Maintain and improve app stability and performance.
 - Comply with legal obligations and prevent abuse of the service.
 
We do not use your information for advertising, marketing, or resale.
4. Third-Party Processing
To deliver AI responses and ensure secure app operation, we rely on trusted third-party service providers (“processors”). These processors may temporarily handle user inputs, device metadata, or crash reports as needed to operate the service.
- AI query processing: Inputs are transmitted to a processor that generates the response.
 - Security & infrastructure: Network intermediaries may retain limited metadata (never chat content) to safeguard service reliability.
 - Crash reporting: Development tools may provide anonymized crash data to assist with debugging.
 
These processors act on our behalf and do not have independent rights to use your data except as required by law.
5. Data Retention
- User Inputs/Outputs: We do not store chat history ourselves. Processors may retain inputs and outputs for abuse monitoring for up to 60 days, after which they are deleted.
 - Metadata: Certain non-chat metadata (e.g., request timestamps, routing information) is retained only as long as needed for operational purposes or until deletion is requested.
 - Crash Reports: Anonymized diagnostic data may be retained as long as needed to resolve technical issues.
 
6. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may disclose limited data only in the following circumstances:
- To comply with applicable laws or valid legal requests.
 - To protect the rights, safety, and security of Phren, our users, or the public.
 - To trusted processors strictly for service delivery, under binding agreements.
 
7. Children’s Privacy
Recall-AI is not directed to children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under this age. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it promptly. Parents or guardians who believe their child has used the app may contact us at privacy@phrencorp.com.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have legal rights under privacy regulations such as GDPR (Europe), CCPA (California), the Privacy Act 1988 (Australia), and the PDPA (Singapore). These may include:
- Access: Request confirmation of whether we hold data about you.
 - Deletion: Request that we delete data associated with you.
 - Correction: Request updates to inaccurate information.
 - Restriction/Objection: Request limits on processing in certain circumstances.
 - Portability: Request a copy of your data in portable format.
 
Because Phren does not personally retain identifiable user data, in most cases we will respond that we do not hold data to provide. However, you may still exercise your rights by contacting us. We will acknowledge receipt of your request within 10 business days and respond within 30 calendar days. In rare cases, we may request additional information for verification and will notify you if so.
9. International Users
If you access Recall-AI from outside the United States, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. We rely on the data protection assurances of our processors to ensure such transfers comply with applicable privacy laws, including:
- United Kingdom: UK GDPR
 - Australia: Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)
 - Singapore: Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA)
 
By using the app, you consent to this data transfer and processing, where permitted by law.
10. Security
We implement industry-standard safeguards to protect your information during transmission and processing. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You use Recall-AI at your own risk.
11. Cookies
We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or behavioral profiling technologies in the app or on our website.
12. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any material changes will be posted on this page with a new “Effective Date.” Continued use of Recall-AI after updates indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
13. Governing Law
This policy and its interpretation are governed by the laws of Pennsylvania, USA. However, this does not override any statutory rights that users may have under applicable local laws, including consumer and privacy protections in the United Kingdom, Australia, or Singapore.
